The short version
Hartmann covers luggage & bags in full for 1 year, then keeps manufacturing defects (travel, bag and business products) and small leather goods and accessories covered to 10 years. That full coverage is longer than most of the 31 brands we compared, which typically cover nothing in full. You don't need to register to get this coverage.

Good to know before you buy
- Keep your receipt from an authorized Hartmann store or retailer; it is required for any claim.
- You pay to ship the bag to a Hartmann repair center; Hartmann pays the return shipping if the repair is covered.
- Only the first year covers airline damage and normal wear; after that, only manufacturing defects.
- Repairs done anywhere other than an authorized repair center void the warranty.
