The short version
CHI doesn't cover everything, but keeps whole tool (excluding steel/plastic parts and cord) covered to 1 year. That full coverage is the same as most of the 14 brands we compared, which typically cover nothing in full. You don't need to register to get this coverage.

- Only tools bought from an authorized salon or salon chain are covered.
- You mail the tool with your original receipt, the warranty card and a $15 shipping and handling fee.
