The short version
General Tire covers tires in full for 1 year, then keeps whole tire (prorated) covered to 6 years. That full coverage is the same as most of the 12 brands we compared, which typically cover 1 year in full. You don't need to register to get this coverage.

- Covers the original owner only. Keep your original sales receipt.
- Tires that can be repaired are repaired, not replaced.
- Mileage claims need proof of rotation every 6,000 to 8,000 miles.
