Lincoln Electric warranty for welders
The short version
Lincoln Electric covers welders in full for 5 years, then keeps main power rectifier (idealarc) covered to 7 years. That full coverage is longer than most of the 10 brands we compared, which typically cover 3 months in full. You don't need to register to get this coverage.
From Lincoln Electric's published warranty, checked October 2026.

The fine print, decoded
What it leaves out
- Normal wear and tear
- Stopping working from outside causes
Good to know before you buy
- Keep your receipt: without proof of purchase, coverage counts from the date the machine was made.
- Repairs must be done at a Lincoln Authorized Service Facility or they are not covered.
- The engine on an engine-driven welder is covered by the engine maker, not Lincoln.
