Good to know before you buy

Drops, water damage and unauthorized repairs are not covered; AppleCare+ is the paid option for those.
Keep your receipt: Apple asks for proof of purchase before warranty service.
Batteries are only covered if they fail from a defect, not normal aging.
Repairs by anyone other than Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider can void coverage.
Apple may only fix iPhones and iPads in the country where they were first sold.
