Registering within 90 days of installation raises labor coverage from 1 to 5 years.
It must be installed by a Rinnai-trained professional.
Coverage passes to a new owner, but only while the heater stays where it was installed.
Scale build-up and poor water quality are not covered, so keep up with flushing.
