Generac warranty for generators
The short version
Generac covers generators in full for 2 years, then keeps engine short block and alternator and parts only (year 3) covered to 5 years. That full coverage is longer than most of the 14 brands we compared, which typically cover 1 year in full. Some of this coverage only applies if you register the product.
From Generac's published warranty, checked October 2026.
