Kasa doesn't cover everything, but keeps smart plug or switch covered to 2 years. That full coverage is shorter than most of the 18 brands we compared, which typically cover 1 year in full. You don't need to register to get this coverage.

- You need proof of purchase and the full serial number.
- TP-Link replaces with a refurbished or similar unit; no refunds. You pay to ship it in unless you buy a faster swap ($14.99-$49.99).
- Used, as-is and open-box items generally aren't covered.
